Fines for speeding in the pit lane…

Posted by f1cafe on April 4, 2009

Have you realised we are seeing a lot more drivers getting fined for speeding in the pit lane? It wasn’t like this in the previous seasons.

FIA have changed the pit lane speed limits for 2009 season. Now, drivers can do up to 100 KMPH in pits, during the race. All other sessions (practice, qualifying), the limit is 60 KMPH. Are drivers struggling to adapt to this change and are getting caught out in the process?

Or drivers have always been like this, but the FIA have become more strict this season?

What ever it is, more drivers are getting caught speeding, and FIA is pocketing decent money in fines.
