All things F1 – Formula One from a fan’s point of view

Welcome to F1 Cafe

Welcome. On this blog, I will be sharing my thoughts on the new F1 season that just began. Hopefully, I can bring up some interesting facts here, and get you to start sharing your opinions too. I will be posting my comments here, before and after each race, during the 2009 Formula One season.

I have big hopes for Kimi Raikkonen, and hopefully, the real Kimi will be back this season. Will Filepe Massa be as impressive this season? I hope he comes good again for Ferrari.

I want Fernando Alonso to do well too. Its a shame for such a talented driver to be languishing at the wrong end of the grid. Hope Reault can continue the momemntum that they’d shown towards the end of 2008 season.

It will be interesting to see how Lewis Hamilton does this year, as all indications are that the McLaren is not as good as it has been the last couple of seasons. Hopefully, Heikki Kovalainen gets his act together and proves a match for his world champion team mate.

And then to the wonder kid of F1 – Sebastian Vettel. Many famous figures are thiking very high of him. I am yet to be convinced about the hype surrounding him. All the best to him and the Adrian Newey designed Redbull cars.

Last but not the least, the Brawn GP cars. They dominated the few pre-season test sessions that they participated in. There were suggestions that they ran light to attract sponsors. Hope that’s not true. Jenson Button really needs a good car to show us what he’s made of. All these years, he’s had the excuse of a bad car. Will Rubens Barichello be a match for Jenson? On a few occasions recently, he expressed his disappointment about driving for Michael Shcumacher at Ferrari. Now that he is not under Michael’s shadow, lets see what he can do.

Please stay tuned! I will be updating this blog, as often as I can, and am hoping to provide some useful information to my fellow fans.
